Many thanks to you all at Agincourt House for making our team feel so welcome, I hope you got something out of what you heard today. Try to always think positively and you will reach your goals.
Please let us know what you think about forgiveness or anything else you heard today. Stay safe and hope you enjoy your holidays.
“Girls, focus on the positives in your life.” Glenn’s underlying message to the yr 7’s in the audience today was encouraging and hopeful. The personal stories Glenn and John told were stories of courage and strength of character – a refusal to bow to bitterness and self pity.
Everyone has difficult situations to deal with, problems and frustrations, but as speaker John Fransham urged, find someone you can talk with. “A problem shared is a problem halfed”. Thanks for all your questions and interest. Have a good Holiday season next month!
Today John and Glenn talked about their lives - about forgiveness. Like Glenn said “You’ve got your whole life in front of you - you’re great people. If you want to take the positive path in life, it will open many doors for you.”
The best things in life are Free!

Hopefully the courage they showed in telling you their stories will give you hope and courage to face the obstacles in your lives, to share your problems with someone you trust.
Please drop us a comment on what you thought about the assembly or if you have a question to John or Glenn. We would love to hear from you.
Put 100% into life!
It was great to be back at your school. John and Nathan sent a powerful and inspirational message to everyone in today’s audience: With an attitude of forgiveness and non-violent conflict resolution, you yr 8 & 9 can make a difference not only in your community and school, but for this nation and even the world.

Each one of you is unique, and special. Do something positive with your life. Make your life count. We would love to hear what you thought, or anything you want to share.
What a powerful and inspiring story from Glenn and John today. Thank you year 11 from St Edwards, you guys were great! We hope that the stories you heard about forgiveness inspire and encourage. A positive attitude will help you make the best out of whatever life throws at you.

We would love to hear from you. Do any of you have comments on the question: Where do you draw the line between having a forgiving attitude and being a pushover?
Your comments will be read by both John and Glenn. Have a great weekend.
Thank you so much, years 10 and 11 at Bexhill High School. We felt very welcome at your school and appreciated the time and concentration you showed us.

You heard some very emotive stories today, but I hope it will encourage you to forgive the things you deal with everyday. Please let us know what you thought and how you think it might apply in your life. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for welcoming us back to your school. Mary’s calm but heart rending telling of the tragic loss of her daughter Charlotte, It’s hard not to feel personally affected. Words she never had a chance to tell her daughter, she told you.

“Everyone has issues, everyone has problems either in the home, at school on the street. Find someone to talk to about your problems before they build up and build up into a ‘moment of madness’ like Beatriz and end up in a situation that can’t be undone.”
Have a wonderful year 10, and thank you for being such an attentive audience.
Here’s to all the young men at Bishop Challoner, years 10 and 11. What do you think of forgiveness? Do you think it applies to everyone? Was it the first time you heard people talk about it?

We always enjoy your comments about the assembly. Add one here to let us know what you thought of John and Mary’s stories.
What a great start to the school year! We really enjoyed coming to your school, you year 11 were great. Although some of the stories you heard were sad, hopefully it enspired you to think about forgiving somebody in your life.

Like Mary said, “forgiveness takes time”. What do you think? What are you dealing with and how did the stories you heard today affect you?
“Today I have forgiven Beatriz for killing my daughter Charlotte” Mary told the year 9 at Oaklands this morning. “When you have unforgiveness, bitterness and anger it eats you up - it can make you physically sick in your body. The perpetrator is living their life, but you’re the one whose got that anger, the bitterness, the resentment, so you’re the prisoner as well as the perpetrator. If you can forgive and let go of grudges, it makes you the bigger person.”

Thanks to all you students and staff at Oaklands for being such a good audience. If you forgot to pick up a book, ask you teacher, she has the ones that were left. Please take the time to add a comment here, we would love to hear from you.
Have a good summer – stay safe!
